As some of you might know, they have opened Battlefield parkway in Leesburg.  For those who are not aware of it, it connects route 15 to route 7, beginning at Masons Lane, and name changing to Battlefield Parkway at Evergreen Mill road, and coming out on route 7 where that new Giant and Best Buy is.
I thought I would pass on that the Leesburg police are very vigilant and very strict on that road.  I personally have not gotten a ticket going through there , but it is very easy to creep over 35mph on that dual lane road.  I have spoken with those who have received tickets for just 5 mph over the speed limit.
The electronics signs have been out and warning that over 35 gets a ticket, so I am not claiming speed trap here as others have.  I am posting because there are several places on that road where it is real easy to coast into ticket range, and just sharing that if you take that route you need to really watch your speedometer.  The 5-7 mile rule just doesn't apply.

Thanks for that info Jack.  I went that way today and you were right on all counts.  First I was heading towards rt. 7.  There are several downhill grades there.  Some are not real noticable and before I knew it I had coasted up over 45.  I braked back down to 35 which is the speed limit, and sure enough not soon after that they were shooting radar.  I had lunch with a friend in town there at Moe's, and mentioned it to him.  He agreed, and also pointed out that another hot spot was  on the bypass, just past Sycolin Road before the exits to rt 7. There the speed drops down to 45, and evidently a lot of people  do not realize that.

There is something familiar about them, the way they walk, the way they carry themselves, if I didn't know the concept was legend, I would swear we are looking at humanity itself.
